We process personal data that you provide during event registration, as well as personal data collected in connection with your participation in the event.

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

4. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

We rely on the following legal bases:

Our legitimate interests include organizing and improving professional events, maintaining contact with participants, documenting our activities and promoting future events in a proportionate manner.

We do not use your personal data for automated individual decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR in connection with event registration and participation.

Granting consent to receive information about future events is voluntary and is not a condition for participation in the event. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us on [email protected]. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

If you do not wish to appear in photographs or video recordings, you may inform the event organizer on site or contact us at [email protected]. We will assess your request and take reasonable steps where feasible.

Where the processing of photographs or video recordings is based on our legitimate interest, you also have the right to object to such processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.

6. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal data processed for event registration and participation for no longer than 2 years from the date of the relevant event, unless a longer retention period is required by law or justified by the protection of legal claims.

Personal data processed based on your consent for communication about future events will be retained until you withdraw your consent, or for a reasonable period after your last interaction, whichever occurs first.

Photographs and video recordings may be retained for a longer period where necessary for documentation, archival purposes relating to FEG activities, or proportionate promotion of FEG events. In such cases, retention will be limited to the period reasonably necessary for those purposes and subject to periodic review.

7. SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic, the competent supervisory authority is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů).

9. IS PROVIDING DATA MANDATORY

Providing the personal data marked as required in the registration form is necessary for us to process your registration and enable your participation in the event. If you do not provide the required data, we may not be able to complete your registration.
